Wachusett Mountain Monday Middle School & Family Ski & Board Club

Join us this winter for a 6-week ski and snowboard adventure at Wachusett Mountain! This program is open to middle school students and families with children aged 9 and older. Whether you're looking to learn new skills or just enjoy the slopes, we’ve got you covered.

Middle School Ski & Board Club (MSBC)

Who: Middle School Students (Curtis Middle School)
When: Mondays, January 6th - February 24th, 2024
Exclusion Dates: January 20th and February 17th (No program)
Pick-Up Location: Curtis Middle School (immediately after dismissal)
Return Time: Approximately 8:00 PM at Fairbank Community Center
Cost: $280 Resident / $289 Non-Resident
Includes transportation and supervision for the 6-week program. Additional costs for lift tickets, equipment rentals, and lessons apply through Wachusett Mountain. If this program is full we encourage you to register for the wait-list. Once there is at least 26 on the wait-list we will attempt to secure a 2nd bus.

Important Notes:

Season Pass Holders: If your child has a Wachusett season pass they do not need to purchase a lift ticket with this program. Their season pass will work just fine (if they have one). 

Steps for Registration:
  1. Register with Sudbury Parks & Recreation and pay the transportation and supervision fee.
  2. Receive Confirmation Email: This will include a link and a code to purchase your required lift tickets and optional items (rentals, lessons, and COW Cards) from Wachusett Mountain. If you have a Wachusett season pass already no need to purchase a lift ticket. Ski rentals and/or lessons are optional dependant if you need or not. 
  3. Purchase from Wachusett: Use the code provided to buy your items at your leisure. No rush to get this next part done. You have until Nov. 30th to purchase your Wachusett items before they increase their prices! Just get it done before then.
Equipment Drop-Off: Skis, snowboards, boots, and bags must be dropped off at Fairbank Community Center (Sudbury Parks & Recreation) on Saturday, Sunday, or Monday by 1:30 PM before each trip. If equipment is dropped off on Saturday or Sunday it will be kept locked up in one of our classrooms. While the equipment is locked up the department is not responsible for the equipment. Monday morning drop-off will be in the pool viewing room. From here we will load all equipment on the coach bus before picking up students from school. You MUST drop-off before 1:30pm. Please don't wait until last second for this. You are not permitted to bring this equipment to school.

Family Ski & Board Club (discount program)
Who: Families with children aged 9 and older. This is an adult registration.
When: Same schedule as MSBC (Mondays, January 6th - February 24th, 2024)
Cost: $30 Resident / $40 Non-Resident (per family, no transportation included)
This registration fee gives your family access to discounted group rates for lift tickets, rentals, lessons, and COW Cards at Wachusett Mountain. You are not required to meet up with the group unless you want to. By registering, your family can visit Wachusett Mountain on the same days we go, but attend independently while still enjoying our group discounts.

Family Ski Club Optional Transportation:
Cost: $200 per family member.
Includes round-trip coach bus transportation from Fairbank Community Center to Wachusett Mountain for each of the 6 dates in our session. Families are responsible for their own children on the mountain. This option is dependant on space available.

Important for Family Club Bus option: Families interested in riding the bus must contact Brent before registering for anything. This will need to be done on our end.

Special Offer: For every 15 family participants registered for the bus, one person will win a Wachusett Mountain Season Pass in a random drawing!

Steps for Registration:
  1. Register one adult family member with Sudbury Parks & Recreation.
  2. Receive Confirmation Email: You’ll receive a code to purchase discounted items directly from Wachusett Mountain.
  3. Purchase from Wachusett: Use the code to buy lift tickets, rentals, lessons (optional), and COW Cards. You get the benefit of our discounts. 
Additional Information
Mandatory Items to Bring or Rent:
  • Skis, snowboards, boots, and helmet (mandatory for all youth).
  • Warm clothing, dinner or money for dinner (cash or COW Card), and plenty of water (refillable bottle).
  • Label all personal belongings.
Lost & Forgotten Badges and Passes:
  • Forgetting or replacing a student badge costs $15 without Badge/Pass Insurance.
  • Forgetting a season pass requires the purchase of a lift ticket.
  • Replacing a season pass costs $15 without Badge/Pass Insurance.

*The switch to Wachusett Mountain on Monday night's has been carefully reviewed. The price will not go up either! Along with a survey and personal experience of Nashoba Valley's conditions have been poor and Wachusett's conditions generally being very good! Important stats from the survey below...

Survey Findings Supporting the Move to Wachusett Mountain:

    • 87% of respondents prefer Wachusett Mountain for its better ski facilities.
    • 90% of respondents believe Wachusett provides a better overall experience.
    • 73% of respondents indicated they are more likely to enroll if the program moves to Wachusett on Mondays.
  • Refund Policy:
    Refund requests must be made using our Refund Request Form, found on our website, and dated at least 7 business days prior to the start of the program. Refund request made at least 7 business days in advance of the program will be assessed a $10 withdrawal fee.  After 7 business days, no refunds will be granted. Refunds are easier to process if you pay by credit card. If more than three months have passed since your original credit card transaction your refund will be proceed by check. If you paid by check, you must submit a refund form with a copy of the cancelled check.
