Pro-Rescuer Training (Blended Learning)

Date: Sunday, February 23, 2025
Time: 9:00 AM – 2:30 PM (In-Person Session) (30-min lunch please bring a packed lunch)
Location: Fairbank Community Center, Sudbury, MA

Program Overview:
This Pro-Rescuer level Red Cross CPR, First Aid, and AED Training is designed for individuals who require a higher level of emergency response training, including lifeguards, healthcare professionals, coaches, and first responders. This course follows the blended learning format, requiring participants to complete an online training module prior to the in-person skills session on February 23.

Participants will learn:
Advanced CPR techniques for adults, children, and infants red cross
First aid response for common medical emergencies
Two/Three-person CPR and use of Bag-Valve Masks (BVMs)
Professional-level AED (Automated External Defibrillator) training
How to respond to cardiac, breathing, and first aid emergencies in high-risk environments

Blended Learning Requirement & Certification Details:

  • All participants must complete the online portion of the course before attending the in-person skills session. A link to the online training will be provided upon registration.
  • Successful completion of both components will earn participants an official American Red Cross Pro-Rescuer CPR, First Aid, and AED Certification (valid for 2 years).

Red Cross Standard CPR, First Aid, and AED Training

Date: Saturday, February 22, 2025
Time: 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM
Location: Fairbank Community Center, Sudbury, MA
Cost: $60 per participant

Program Overview:
This Red Cross Standard CPR, First Aid, and AED Training is ideal for teachers, parents, caregivers, coaches, and the general public who want to be prepared for emergencies. This course provides participants with essential lifesaving skills to respond confidently in workplace, home, and community settings.
Participants will learn:
CPR for adults, children, and infants
First aid response for injuries, burns, and sudden illnesses
Use of an AED (Automated External Defibrillator)
How to respond to choking and breathing emergencies

Certification Details & Important Notes:

  • Upon successful completion, participants will receive an official American Red Cross CPR, First Aid, and AED Certification (valid for 2 years).
  • No refunds can be given once registered. This is a strict policy set by the Red Cross. Please ensure you can attend before signing up.
  • Certification is not guaranteed. While the instructor will provide guidance and assistance, participants must demonstrate the required skills and knowledge to pass. This includes:
    • Successfully performing CPR and AED use.
    • Correctly executing first aid techniques.
    • Passing all required skill evaluations.
Participants who do not meet these requirements cannot receive a certification, per Red Cross standards. No prior experience is required!
