Overture Games, Inc - Vacation Programs
Winter Break (December 28 - 31st)
Make a Superhero Camp!
Become a superhero creator and invent a world that needs your extraordinary hero in this week-long program!
Perhaps they stretch bridges across rivers, talk to lost animals, or turn worries into bubbles! Students draw their hero, imagine the world they protect, and create a comic about their first mission.
They bring a piece of that universe to life as a 3D model, make a superhero video, and create a theme song worthy of a dramatic entrance! A video game gives their hero a new challenge to tackle. Building stories and sharing feedback with classmates develops empathy, creative problem-solving, and collaboration. Families get to discover a superhero universe their child helped create - Every great hero needs a world worth saving!
Goals of the Program:
1. Create an original superhero and the world they protect,
2. Write and draw a comic about their first mission,
3. Make a 3D model, a superhero video and a theme song,
4. Build empathy, creative problem-solving and collaboration!
February Break
Design a Creature Camp!
Become a creature creator and invent a species the world has never seen in this week-long program!
Imagine meeting your child's creature with leaf wings, glowing whiskers, or a backpack-shaped shell. Students draw their original character and build a world where it belongs, then tell its first adventure in a comic! They bring it to life as a 3D model and a short video, create a song that captures its personality, and invent a video game where it takes center stage!
Classmates ask questions and share ideas to help each creature grow! Children practice descriptive storytelling, collaboration, and explaining their creative choices, and they finish with an entirely original creature universe to proudly share
Goals of the Program:
1. Invent and draw an original creature and its world,
2. Tell its first adventure as a comic,
3. Bring it to life as a 3D model, short video and song,
4. Practice descriptive storytelling, collaboration and explaining creative choices!
