The House of Dance is offering an array of classes from hip hop, jazz to ballet and more.  We are the next generation of dance!Bumblin' Ballet (Ages 2-4) Bumblin’ Ballet provides enrichment in a child’s physical, social, emotional, language, and cognitive development.  Every class provides child-centered, and age-appropriate activities taught by very loving and skilled instructors. At House of Dance, we strive to create a magical place where children learn to dance through imagination and creativity. This is a ballet-based creative movement program where children learn the basics of ballet (basic positions of arms and feet) while exploring their own movement potential.Move & Groove (Ages 2-4) Move and Groove is our newest Independent Toddler class. Just like Bumblin Ballet —  Move & Groove will provide enrichment in a child’s physical social emotional language and cognitive development. Every class provides child-centered and age-appropriate activities. In, Move & Groove the studio will become a magical place where children learn to dance through imagination and creativity. This is a class that teaches the basics of rhythm coordination and still having fun!Move w/Mommy (9m-2y) Move with Mommy is HOD’s new innovative class where a parent or guardian joins them during their dance class. The teacher will encourage engaging with props and a variety of popular song and movement activities. Building cardiovascular endurance to improve overall fitness. Practical nutritional tips to help fuel their bodies for sports, school, and everyday activities. Pickleball is a fun sport that combines many elements of tennis, badminton and ping-pong. It is played both indoors or outdoors on a 44-foot by 20-foot court. Created for all ages and skill levels, pickleballs rules are simple and the game is easy for beginners to learn, but can develop into a quick, fast-paced, competitive game for experienced players. The Sudbury Recreation Department offers clinics at the Fairbanks Community Center, 40 Fairbank Road, Sudbury. Beginner Clinic - Participants will learn the fundamentals of pickleball. Focus on the court set up, grip, ground strokes and serves as well as focus on dinks, rules, basic strategy and game play. Pickleball equipment, etiquette, and safety will also be covered. Paddles are available for use so need to purchase paddles. Improver clinic - This clinic is for players who have already taken a clinic or have been playing and understand the basic rules and fundamental pickleball skills. The focus will be on continued skill development as well as strategies for playing winning pickleball. The clinic will include a mix of drills and game play.Up the River/Down the River Playing Clinic - A playing clinic which provides a competitive game format. Players take part in games with different players and receive coaching and skill development - all in a fun atmosphere. At the end of each 12-minute game, the winning team on each court moves up, and the other team moves down. Participants must have either taken a beginner/advanced beginner lesson and/or have pickleball playing experience and know the basic rules/scoring.Specialty Clinic: Dinks - This clinic will focus on shots at the non-volley zone (kitchen). Dinking technique and strategy will be taught and practiced through a series of drills. The clinic will end with full games. Specialty Clinic: Third Shots: Drops and Dives - This clinic will focus on one of the most important shots - the third shot. The House of Dance is offering an array of classes from hip hop, jazz to ballet and more.  We are the next generation of dance!Bumblin' Ballet (Ages 2-4) Bumblin’ Ballet provides enrichment in a child’s physical, social, emotional, language, and cognitive development.  Every class provides child-centered, and age-appropriate activities taught by very loving and skilled instructors. At House of Dance, we strive to create a magical place where children learn to dance through imagination and creativity. This is a ballet-based creative movement program where children learn the basics of ballet (basic positions of arms and feet) while exploring their own movement potential.Move & Groove (Ages 2-4) Move and Groove is our newest Independent Toddler class. Just like Bumblin Ballet —  Move & Groove will provide enrichment in a child’s physical social emotional language and cognitive development. Every class provides child-centered and age-appropriate activities. In, Move & Groove the studio will become a magical place where children learn to dance through imagination and creativity. This is a class that teaches the basics of rhythm coordination and still having fun!Move w/Mommy (9m-2y) Move with Mommy is HOD’s new innovative class where a parent or guardian joins them during their dance class. The teacher will encourage engaging with props and a variety of popular song and movement activities. Dancers are encouraged to use their imaginations and repetition that is extremely beneficial to learning. This class is the perfect way to begin to work on independent participation at their own pace. Parents and guardians are encouraged to dance along with their toddlers during Move with Mommy class and create memories that will last a lifetime!Hippity Hop (Grades PreK-K) Has your child wanted to, "dance like the big kids?" Well now his his or her chance!  Hippity Hop is hip-hop for the younger set.  This class focuses on rhythm, body awareness, simple choreography and high-energy fun, all set to cool, funky, age-appropriate music!Hip Hop (Grades 1-2 & 3-5) Has your child wanted to, "dance like the big kids?" Well now his his or her chance!  Hip-hop incorporates urban movements, such as street dance, popping and locking.
