Each class includes a gentle, progressive strength circuit and dedicated time at the end to connect with other moms. Build community among newly postpartum moms Gentle, progressive strength training designed for postpartum recovery Safe space to ask questions about pelvic health and returning to activity/sport Form-focused coaching and individualized modifications Eligibility: Participants must be at least 6 weeks postpartum and cleared for exercise by their medical provider. What to Bring Yoga mat and water bottle Comfortable, supportive clothing Baby essentials (diapers, wipes, blanket); strollers welcome for parking in the room About the Instructor Dr. Maggie Curtis earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy from Northeastern University and treats a wide range of patient populations including sports, pelvic health, and orthopedic injuries. She owns Harbor Strength Physical Therapy, providing in-home PT services, and leads fitness classes emphasizing strength training, rehabilitation, and injury prevention. Outside the clinic, Maggie enjoys hiking with her husband and daughter.

If the waitlist reaches at least 9 participants, we will move to a full-size school bus and expand capacity to up to 40 youth. Families on the waitlist are contacted if capacity expands. Notes: Itineraries, packing lists, and reminders are emailed before each trip. Times may vary slightly due to traffic and venue operations. Trips sometimes return earlier, closer to 5:00 PM. When this happens, participants will spend the remainder of the program in our Game Room, enjoying activities such as bumper pool, air hockey, foosball, and hoop shoot until pick-up at 6:00 PM. Required medications (EpiPens, inhalers, etc.) must be given to staff at drop-off on trip days.

Strong Bonds is a fun, active group designed to help kids build friendships while moving their bodies.  Through games, team challenges and movement based activities participants will develop social skills, practice cooperation and enjoy the benefits of exercise in a supportive environment. The group focuses on creating connections, boosting confidence, and learning how to be a good friend - all while having fun!Goals for the Program:- Foster positive peer connections and support new friendships,- encourage teamwork, cooperation and communication through movement based activities,- build confidence and self-esteem in both social and physical settings,- promote healthy habits by integrating fitness and fun,- support development of self-regulation strategies kids can use in and outside the group.Objectives:- Demonstrate improved social skills such as taking turns, sharing, and encouraging peers,- practice strategies for resolving small conflicts and showing empathy,- increase comfort and confidence participating in group activities,- recognize the connection between physical activity, emotional well-being and positive relationships,- identify and practice at least two self-regulation skills (deep breathing, movement breaks, positive self-talk),- identify at least one new friend or supportive peer connection formed during the program.

Fee: $125 for the 6-week session Mom (Parent) & Me Description: Join Dr. Maggie Curtis, pelvic health physical therapist, for a supportive 6-week workout series focused on rebuilding core, pelvic floor, and postural strength in the early months postpartum. Each class includes a gentle, progressive strength circuit and dedicated time at the end to connect with other moms. Build community among newly postpartum moms Gentle, progressive strength training designed for postpartum recovery Safe space to ask questions about pelvic health and returning to activity/sport Form-focused coaching and individualized modifications Eligibility: Participants must be at least 6 weeks postpartum and cleared for exercise by their medical provider. What to Bring Yoga mat and water bottle Comfortable, supportive clothing Baby essentials (diapers, wipes, blanket); strollers welcome for parking in the room About the Instructor Dr. Maggie Curtis earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy from Northeastern University and treats a wide range of patient populations including sports, pelvic health, and orthopedic injuries. She owns Harbor Strength Physical Therapy, providing in-home PT services, and leads fitness classes emphasizing strength training, rehabilitation, and injury prevention. Outside the clinic, Maggie enjoys hiking with her husband and daughter.

Trips are supervised by experienced staff and include safe, reliable transportation. November 2025 Trips November 5: Urban Air Adventure Park — Bellingham, MA November 12: Boston View Observatory — Prudential Center, Boston, MA November 19: Boda Borg — Malden, MA Trips/Dates subject to change. Fee Options: • $85R / $95NR per trip • $245R / $265NR for all 3 November trips ALL TRIPS ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE! Coverage & Exceptions Covered: Most Early Release Wednesdays during the school year. No Trip Dates: Wednesday, November 26 (Thanksgiving week) and Wednesday, June 3 (no trip scheduled). Registration & Capacity Trips begin with 11 spots, which fills the Sudbury Rec mini-bus. If the waitlist reaches at least 9 participants, we will move to a full-size school bus and expand capacity to up to 40 youth. Families on the waitlist are contacted if capacity expands. Notes: Itineraries, packing lists, and reminders are emailed before each trip. Times may vary slightly due to traffic and venue operations. Trips sometimes return earlier, closer to 5:00 PM. When this happens, participants will spend the remainder of the program in our Game Room, enjoying activities such as bumper pool, air hockey, foosball, and hoop shoot until pick-up at 6:00 PM. Required medications (EpiPens, inhalers, etc.) must be given to staff at drop-off on trip days.

Strong Bonds is a fun, active group designed to help kids build friendships while moving their bodies.  Through games, team challenges and movement based activities participants will develop social skills, practice cooperation and enjoy the benefits of exercise in a supportive environment. The group focuses on creating connections, boosting confidence, and learning how to be a good friend - all while having fun!Goals for the Program:- Foster positive peer connections and support new friendships,- encourage teamwork, cooperation and communication through movement based activities,- build confidence and self-esteem in both social and physical settings,- promote healthy habits by integrating fitness and fun,- support development of self-regulation strategies kids can use in and outside the group.Objectives:- Demonstrate improved social skills such as taking turns, sharing, and encouraging peers,- practice strategies for resolving small conflicts and showing empathy,- increase comfort and confidence participating in group activities,- recognize the connection between physical activity, emotional well-being and positive relationships,- identify and practice at least two self-regulation skills (deep breathing, movement breaks, positive self-talk),- identify at least one new friend or supportive peer connection formed during the program.

Games are organized on-site each week with one coach/referee per court. No official scoring; focus on play, hustle, and sportsmanship. Participants must follow gym rules and demonstrate good behavior. Disruptive behavior may result in removal without return. Rainy days: all play moves indoors. Curtis Middle School Transportation to FCC for Sudbury Rec Programs After-School Make arrival easy. This transportation option brings students from Curtis Middle School directly to the Fairbank Community Center for a prompt 3:30 PM start to their registered program. Pick-Up: Curtis dismissal (~3:10 PM) Drop-Off: Fairbank Community Center (~3:25 PM) Fee & Seats: $3 per registered day — book by the day; max 12 seats (may add a second trip if demand is high) Important: Register for the correct day(s)/dates to match your program attendance.
