Cancellation & Refund Policy
Clear guidelines for requesting cancellations and understanding refunds.
How to Request a Cancellation or Refund
No email needed. Submit your written request through MyRec using the Request Cancellation button.
  1. Log in to My Account
  2. Go to My Account → Registrations → Activities or Memberships
  3. Click Request Cancellation next to the program or membership name
  4. Use the text box to explain your request (this serves as your written request)
  5. Your request is reviewed by the Program Coordinator or Pool Supervisor
Processing time: Refunds are issued to the original payment method and may take up to 14 business days.

General Guidelines
      • Fees are per person, per session unless otherwise noted.
      • Refunds are subject to program type and timing.
      • Vendor-specific policies may override these guidelines.
      • Refunds are not issued for absences, snow days, missed days, late arrivals, fire alarms, building closures, or other unforeseen interruptions once a program begins.

Unless otherwise specified in the program description (online), the Sudbury Park & Recreation Refund Policy is as follows:  Refund fee for cancellations made at least 5 business days prior to the program start is 15% of the program fee.  There are no refunds for cancellations made less than 5 business days prior to the program start. 

Sudbury Summer & Sudbury Adventure Policy:
A $75 refund fee for cancellations prior to May 1.  After May 1, the refund fee for cancellation is $150.  There are no refunds for cancellations made within one week of the program start.
Medical exceptions to the Sudbury Park & Recreation Refund Policy:
Medical refunds for cancellations requested after the start of a program may be given depending upon circumstances.  If awarded, the refunds will be prorated and assessed a 15% program cost fee.

Family / Lap Lane & Dive Well Use (Public Access)
  • Must cancel at least 24 hours in advance to receive an account credit on your MyRec account.
  • Refunds are not issued for these activities.
  • All requests must be submitted using the Request Cancellation button in your account.
  • Go to My Account>scroll down and find Registrations>click activities or memberships to view your cancel request options. 
Atkinson Pool Memberships
  • Pool memberships cannot be paused.
  • Memberships remain active through the end of the current paid month.
  • Medical exceptions require a doctor’s note for account credit consideration.
  • Submit all cancellations through your MyRec account.
  • Go to My Account>scroll down and find Registrations>memberships to view your cancellation request options.  
Pickleball Monthly Memberships (Recurring)
  • Monthly recurring Pickleball memberships may be canceled at any time.
  • There is no cancellation fee for recurring memberships.
  • Members may continue to play through the end of their current paid month.
  • Cancellations must be submitted at least one (1) week before the next scheduled renewal to avoid being charged for the following month.
  • All cancellations must be submitted through your MyRec account.
  • Go to My Account>scroll down and find Registrations>memberships to view your cancellation request options. 
Program Cancellations by Sudbury Parks & Recreation
  • If a program is cancelled by Parks & Recreation due to low enrollment or other factors, a 100% refund will be issued automatically. No action required.
Additional Information
This policy is subject to change for programs that require specific staffing ratios, safety supervision, or vendor-based coordination. Sudbury Parks, Recreation & Atkinson Pool will do our best to update and communicate any program-specific changes as they occur.
